Teddy Bear Party

I have to say, I live in the best neighborhood.
Not only do I have the sweetest friends my age to play with, but I also have the nicest grown-ups to call friends too.
One of my neighbors, Toby is a professional piano player.
She plays locally and nationally in symphonies as well as other venues.
Recently, she threw a Teddy Bear Party for all the kids in our cul-de-sac.

We snuggled with our Teddy Bears as we listened to Toby play the most beautiful, classical songs on her piano...one of which was titled, "Teddy Bear Picnic," which inspired this party.

Here I am with my princess teddy bear, appropriately named, "Teddy Bear."

We sang lots of songs while Toby played the music and her friend led us in singing.
Here we are singing, but of course, "The Itsy Bitsy Spider."

We even listened to a book about Teddy Bears before we got to go outside and...

enjoy Teddy Bear Cookies and lemonade.

Thank you Toby for throwing such a wonderful Teddy Bear Party!
It was "beary" creative and super amazing!

Thanksgiving Fun 2010

This year, I went to my Great Aunt Millie and Uncle Reuben's house in Victoria for Thanksgiving.
It was great getting to play with all my cousins and eating all the delicious food!
One of my favorite parts of the day was playing outside.
My aunt and uncle have the best backyard.
It is like the Garden of Eden, full of lush plants and trails everywhere.

We loved playing in the fish pond.
Here we are pretending to go fishing with some twigs.

My Aunt Tootie just finished saying, I wonder who will fall in first?
When literally a split second later.....

I provided her the answer.
Yes, I fell in the pond.
And I was not happy about it.
Well, as I was cleaning up, not even 5 minutes later.....

My cousin, Finley decided to join in the fun, and she fell into the pond too.
She was not happy about it either.
So, needless to say, we found other things to do the rest of the day that did not involve
the oh-so-fun pond.

I snuggled with my Mommy. =-))

I picked a few flowers. (with permission, of course.)
Pay no attention to the fact that I have a chainsaw in one hand, and a flower in the other.

And of course, I enjoyed good ole fine dining....Thanksgiving style.

I am so thankful for all the blessings I have in my life.
God, Family, Friends.
That is more than enough.
So days like this are a bonus!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Turkey Cookies

The day before Thanksgiving, Mommy and I made Turkey Cookies!!!
It was beyond fun counting out the candy corns and chocolate chips for each cookie,
decorating each one,
and of course,
eating a few!!!

Those cookies sure look yummy!

I decorated a few.

Mommy decorated a few.

I hope you got to eat some yummy turkey too!

The Big Move!!

On Monday, I officially started sleeping in my new bed in my new PINK room!
I am being nice and letting Baby Ella have my old bed and room.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new room.
If I had it my way, everything in my room would be PINK.
But, Mommy and Daddy say that with pink walls, there has to be some balance of other colors.
"Blah, Blah, Blah! pink," I say, "Just like Pinkalicious!"
Pics of my beautiful, PINK room to come!!

My Self Portrait

Tonight I drew a picture of me.

Above, you can see my beautiful colorful hair,
my 2 purple eyes
my 2 pink cheeks
my pink nose and mouth
and my
BEARD!!
"Just like Daddy," I ever so sweetly expressed.

Here I am taking a picture of it, just like Mommy did!

Well, Daddy explained to me that girls don't have beards.
So, I listened and then stated,
"Boys have beards, and girls have beautiful hair."
Lesson Learned Perfectly!

Mary and Joseph

Tonight, I dressed up and wanted to dance with Daddy.
I was Mary, and he was Joseph.

Happy Dancing!

Young Chef's Academy

A few weekends ago, my Mommy and I took a Big Chef /Little Chef cooking class at
Young Chef's Academy.
They had us prepare several yummy, fall treats.
Needless to say, I loved every minute of this class.
And I proudly announced this many times throughout the class. =-)

The instructor and I are all ready to get cook'n.

Mixing up some pumpkin / cream cheese dip

Peeling an apple for dipping and to place in our apple cider.

Tasting the Homemade Cider.
Yum!

My favorite part of Cooking Class!
Enjoying our Creation!

Halloween Fun!

Leading up to Halloween, I had a lot of fun.
This year, I went to Sweet Berry Farms with my friend, Lauren.

Shucking Corn.

Taking a hayride with Lauren.

Modeling my Halloween headband before I broke it.

It wouldn't be Halloween without good ole pumpkin carving.

Hmmm... I am not sure if I really like this.

Our finished products!
Happy Halloween!

Chop Chop!

A few weeks ago, as you may have heard,
I chopped my hair off!!!! Gasp!!
Mommy was cutting out some school work at the table,
so I decided to get my scissors and join her.
I unknowingly held those sharp little scissors to my hair and....
chop. chop. chop.
I really didn't care about the damage done.
However, Mommy practically cried!

It really doesn't look that bad. Right?
I think I did a lovely job!

Mommy collected some of the damage in a bag.
Maybe because she had a hard time saying good bye to
my precious, long locks.
But, she said it was to show Daddy, who was away in China at the time.
No worries however.
Mommy took me to get it trimmed shortly after, so my cut didn't look so blunt.
I don't know, I kind of enjoyed the experience.
Maybe Beauty School is cut out for me.
Ha Ha!

My Nature Bracelet

Since Mommy is not running right now, (something to do with my little sister in her belly)
we have started to go on more walks.
To make it more interesting,
I have started collecting all my treasured items I find on my walk
on a bracelet.
My mommy just takes a piece of masking tape and puts it on me
inside out, so that the sticky side is facing up, and
voila!

Admiring my beautiful nature bracelet.

Look at those treasures!
Happy Walking my friends!

Thomas the Train

My Mommy took me to see Thomas the Train this year.
I didn't know much about Thomas, but I do love riding trains.
So, I was definitely game.

Here he comes.

Reading to get moving.

All aboard!!!

There is No Greater Joy

There is no greater joy than seeing your Daddy after he has been gone for almost
a month in China.
Now, doesn't this just bring a smile to your face. :-)

Summer 2010

I know it is Fall, but better late than never.
Here is the condensed version of the rest of Summer 2010

Enjoying sparklers on 4th of July in Daddy's office parking lot.

Enjoying my cousin, Hadley's 3rd Birthday Princess Party.

I loved getting all dolled up!

Building sand castles on our trip to Galveston.

Visiting the Rainforest Cafe

I saw so many exotic animals on the Rainforest Ride.

That is the coolest dessert I think I have ever seen!
Rainforest Cafe Rocked!

Every summer, I have to go to BK's place.
My mommy has gone camping there every year since she was my age.
It simply would not be summer without going to the Guadalupe River!
This year, we went on my Uncle Glen's birthday.

Here is a picture of my Uncle Glen.
Can you believe I have an uncle who turned 50 this year?
Just to clarify, that does not make my Mommy that old. =-))

Enjoying the beautiful Guadalupe River with my cousins,
Kyndall, Emmerson, and Ronito.

I LOVED going to the Ceramic Lounge this summer with many of my neighbors for story hour.
This particular time, the owner read, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carl.
Then, I got to to paint my very own ceramic caterpillar!!

Hard at Work!!

Just Hanging Out! (The above wonderful pictures were taken by my dear friend and photographer, Dana Bone.)

Stealing a Kiss!

Having Fun with Mommy and Daddy

Enjoying the beautiful Austin days!
