Bluebonnet Pictures 2010

Earlier this month my street friends and I headed out to take pictures in the bluebonnets.
What fun we had with our state flowers!!

Sssh!!! Don't tell anyone about this offense.
If it means any difference, my daddy told me to do it!

What a great looking group of kids!
It must run in the neighborhood.

Going on a little trek through the field.

Lauren and I running through the bluebonnets.

Okay, picking 2 flowers is pushing my luck isn't it?

Happy Bluebonnet Pictures!

There is no place like Texas!!

Weekend in Galveston

Earlier this month, my family and I visited my Aunt Hillary, Uncle Dennis and my cousin Hadley at their Galveston beach house.
Although I have been there many times before, this time, was even better.
As I get older, the beach becomes that much more fun.

Taking in the beach the 1st night we were there.

One of my favorite things to do at the beach is collect shells.

My daddy and I went for a walk and found this jellyfish among other things like seaweed, big shells and logs.

My parents and I started to build a sand castle. But, of course the best part is knocking it down right away.

Hadley and I hanging out on the balcony of the beach house.

The balcony is one of our favorite places to play. Can you guess why?
What a beautiful view we have of the beach.

My daddy likes to play around on the balcony too.

I especially like this picture.

Hadley and I dancing to festive music on The Strand.

Enjoying my ice cream cone.

This horse was nice enough to give me my very 1st carriage ride.

Acting silly in a phone booth.

But, my absolute favorite thing to do in Galveston was shopping, of course.
It comes so naturally to me.
Hey, you can't fight genetics!

Mommy, Your Laptop is Ringing!

"Mommy, your laptop is ringing, it's Daddy!" This is becoming a normal statement around here these days. You see, my daddy went to China about a week ago. But, I still get to see him everyday, thanks to Skype!

I know my daddy is in China. But, I still get a little confused. When Mommy asks me where is Daddy? I reply, "In the computer. "

Here I am telling Daddy all about my day!

Here is a picture where you can see the small window of me in the corner.
This is my favorite part of talking on Skype. I love to see my Daddy, but I REALLY
love watching myself make silly faces the whole time.

My daddy and I love to give each other high fives!!

But, nothing beats giving Daddy kisses!

I love you Daddy!!

I can't wait for you to come out of the computer in a few weeks!

My 1st Confirmed Dream

Mommy had a feeling I was having dreams since
I have been waking up in the middle of the night very shook up lately.
Well all people dream Momma. I just haven't ever been able to articulate them yet.
When Momma would ask if I was having a bad dream, I would just reply, " I was crying!" or
"I was sad!" I never gave more info. After all, how am I supposed to know what a dream really is?

Well, last night was finally different. I woke up in the middle of the night screaming,

Hannah: "Momma! Momma!" (Mommy rushes in.)

Mommy: " Momma's here angel."

Hannah: (Still half a sleep) " You were in a tractor, and I was crying."

Mommy: "Why were you crying?"

Hannah: "You left me at home Momma! And you were in a tractor in the sky."

Mommy: "Oh Angel. Mommy would never leave you by yourself at home, and tractors don't fly. You were having a dream. It is like pretend and not real. Do you understand?"

Hannah: (Awake now) "Uh huh. But Daddy is going in an airplane in the sky, and you are not going with him?"

Mommy: "Well Daddy is going on an airplane for work, and I am staying home with you."

Hannah: "And you will take me on the tractor next time?"

Mommy: "Of course, if Mommy ever drives a tractor, (ha ha) you can come with me. I promise!"

So, dreams really do reflect what is happening in your world.
We have been reading about airplanes a lot lately since Daddy will be traveling on business soon. That explains the "flying" part. But the
"tractor" part
is definitely pretend!

Dreams are so interesting!!

My First Playdough Creation!

About a month ago, I was playing with play dough at Grandma's house.
I exclaimed, "Look, I made a man!"
Nobody took me seriously.
So, I showed them!
I pointed out his head, 2 hands, 2 feet and legs etc...

They listen to me now! =)))

Hard at Work

My 1st Snow Day

This February, the weather did something I had only read about in books.
It SNOWED!!!
I had so much fun
bundling up in all my snow gear,
playing in the snow,
making snow men,
and drinking hot chocolate
in between outings outside.
What a Perfect day!

My Mommy and I worked really hard to make this snowman outside.
It must have taken us at least an hour!

This snowman only took us 10 minutes.
Thank you Kristen for sharing the trick to making snowmen.

Come back next winter my snow friends!!

Love for Valentine's Day!

All the Valentine goodies.
Can you guess which one is mine?

I LOVE all the LOVE
on
Valentine's Day!

Papa's 50th means Cakes and Presents

Happy BIG 50th Pop Pop!
Here is your cake...

and here is your present.

I am obsessed with wrapping presents.
This time, I decided to recycle Pop Pop's wrapping paper to wrap myself.

Here's to another 50 years Pop Pop!
I LOVE You!

New Years...Austin Style

I apologize for the New Year's post in April, but better late than never!

We started this New Years by going to the First Night Austin.
It was so cool!
I especially liked the parade down Congress street!
It was alittle chilly. So after the parade, we grabbed some Kettle Corn and were on our way to our
neighbor's house to ring in the New Year in the hood!
What a night!
I actually stayed up until midnight and lit sparklers with my street friends.
Someone accidentally set the couch on fire... But, that's another story.

Jacket... check
Daddy's shoulders... check
Ready for the parade to begin!!!

First Night Austin's Parade was definitely "Austin Style!"
Here is the tail of a snake on wheels.
And...

Here is the snake's mouth opening revealing it's tongue.
The woman actually was doing leg crunches to mimic the tongue moment.
Talk about an ab work-out!

An old limo with neon lights...hmmm?

At the end of an Austin parade, you won't find horses!
Instead, how about an old car with fire torches?!

However, what was my favorite in this very weird parade ... you might wonder?
Good old-fashioned, hula hoops.

HAPPY 2010!

Easter is Eggcellent!

Yeah! I am back from my very long blogcation! Hopefully, I get back into this... for the memories!!
But, boy do I have a lot of catching up to do. Forgive me as I post Christmas and Valentines in April.

Easter was so fun this year!
I really got the hang of this whole hunting thing... almost to the point of Mommy needing to teach me Easter Egg hunting etiquette. At my MOPS Easter Egg hunt, I snatched an egg that a crawling baby was working hard to get too.
Rules, Rules, Rules!
The Easter Bunny is Awesome!!

Sitting Pretty in my Easter dress!

What a sweet picture!
Do you like my cheesy, fake smile I like to make for pictures?
Mommy and Daddy LOVE it!

Easter is nothing but smiles!

Okay, so I had to stop and open a few eggs along the way!

Bring it on Ronito!

Enjoying our treasured eggs!

Hope you had an eggcellent Easter too!!

Just Hanging Out! (The above wonderful pictures were taken by my dear friend and photographer, Dana Bone.)

Stealing a Kiss!

Having Fun with Mommy and Daddy

Enjoying the beautiful Austin days!
